• Avoid major upgrades: Staging is about presenting the home at its best, not remodeling it. Focus on cleaning, decluttering, touch-ups, and minor repairs rather than expensive upgrades that may not provide a return before selling.
• Think like a nice hotel: The goal is not to make the home feel empty. It should feel comfortable and inviting, but neutral enough that the buyer notices the home rather than the people who live there.
